Review the message notes

  1. Where are we in the story of God at work in history before we get to this point in the history of Israel?

  2. What are these books, 1-2 Samuel, 1-2 Kings, 1-2 Chronicles, about as you recall from your reading or from Jeff’s message?

  3. Read I Samuel 12:20-24. What encourages you to move towards God in these verses?

  4. Where does king Saul go wrong? (1 Samuel 13:13-14, 13:23-24, 15:12, 17-24)

  5. Where does the story go from there?

  6. What are the people hoping for?

  7. How do these books end?

  8. Where do you see yourself in the narrative? Do you see yourself caving into the ways of the world, or despairing the trials of your circumstance, are you longing for better days? (This story is moving us towards God solution in sending a heavenly king Jesus, bringing us to a heavenly promised land, and worshipping God in His temple. We have a new day, new week, and a fresh start. Dig into God’s word for guidance, hope, and challenge this week.)

  9. Pray for one another
